Read an SMH article yesterday about inhumane mass killing of male chicks because they are 'useless'. Can't produce eggs, can be eaten blah blah blah. Could this affect SP positively? More scrutiny in the egg business by regulators expected due to increasing public pressure in the short term. Is FarmPride well placed to deal with this? This could cause even more downward pressure on supply issues. Increasing demand against suppliers being hammered by tree hugging greenies (although I too are against animal cruelty) could be only good in my book. Very interesting next few months.
