Anthony Tse quoted $260 in an interview with Barron around May.
The earlier quoted figure was in the region of $47 but that must have been some figure that calculated the cost with some complex LOM equation, and/or had something to do with Tantalum costs.
I have quoted the same $47/t figure before too - but it makes sense that it is way too low to factor much in. This is a big operation with mining, drilling, blasting, maintenance, mine office staff, wages and transport to port to accomodate.
$200/t is the same figure given by PLS recently.
SDV is the operation that will be massively cheaper to run and where we claw back a lot more profit. Hard-rock only miners hate the fact that it creates a finished battery-grade product from one process. We'll wait for the new DFS to see where they project the costs for - but the major advantage is that its a higher build cost with a smaller opex.
