Thought I'd share this with you. I have found Google trends to be a good lead indicator for many things.
I suggest you have a look for yourselves, as it also rates the interest across regions (I guess that could to some extend be interpreted as market awareness, refer to last picture)
I think these are pretty much in line with the exponential growth we are seing in in markets outside of New Zealand, where we can see a bit of saturation.
Here are the results separated by region:
New Zealand
Australia
UK
USA
Worldwide
Important to note that interest is normalised. The highest interest is 100 (New Zealand), where many people would have heard about this success story. USA is listed with a interest of 1. I assume that it works somewhat on a % of total search results. In a fictional scenario, where 10% of all NZ google search were related to Xero and 1% of all UK searches, The ranking would be New Zealand 100, Uk 10. You get it.
