re: tanking not I don't think thats right, that BHP is down in London... correct me if I'm wrong and I haven't done the exchange rate stuff, but BHP is down about 3% in London after being down nearly 4.5-5% in Aussie, so that means that its actually up about 1.5-2%, yeah? Its an improvement. I assume that the Brits take the aussie price as their starting point..
and yeah, spot metals are all up .. copper up 3%, nickel up 3%, aluminium up .5%, zinc up .6%, lead up 1.5%, uranium up .75, gold up .4%... oil up 49c to $59.17 per barrel... so it makes sense that bhp would be up...
