multiplex awarded contract to build the motorcity MULTIPLEX AWARDED CONTRACT TO BUILD THE MOTORCITY AUTOMALL IN DUBAI

Multiplex Group announces that its construction division in the United Arab Emirates (‘Nasa Multiplex’) has been awarded a Dhs. 940 Million (approximately $340 Million) contract for the construction of the Motor City, Automall – Showroom and Office Tower complex in Dubai.
The Union Properties project, located on the outskirts of Dubai, incorporates a 38-storey office tower and a 3 level auto-showroom.
The project will be delivered on a Lump Sum contract to Union Properties, for whom Multiplex has already successfully completed The Tower and Creekside Apartments projects, and are currently designing and building the 86- storey, Dhs. 1 Billion, Index Building in Dubai.
Construction at Motor City is due to commence this month with expected completion in late 2008.
Nasa Multiplex is one of the major building operators present in the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”), with other work in hand including 15 residential towers for phases one, two and three of the Burj Residences project, as well as a 6 tower residential project on Dubai Marina. The UAE work in hand now totals $1.7 billion.
Multiplex Group stapled securities trade on the Australian Stock Exchange under the symbol “MXG”.
