Do you realise that shorting a stock is an investment? What is the difference between buying BHP in the belief it will go up, and in selling the SGD vs USD in the belief it will go down?
A trip to the casino is a gamble, and educated entry with a targeted exit of a stock, whether it be over a 15 ywar or a 15 minute period is also investing. You appear to be living in a world that is far from the existing reality of now.
I don't ever go to the races or a casino, as I have no 'inside edge' - I DO trade where I believe I have a good risk/reward based on analysis. Obviously that is really hard to understand for some - and I honestly am too old to fight evey battle for battles sake - so lets just say we agree to disagree, but I would NEVER say that investing has a 'lot to do with luck'. That s an uneducated mind playing where perhaps they shouldn't be playing.
Have a great weekend and I am happy this will be our last wasted breath on such matters. No more from me on this one. Time for a great Saturday night sleep.
