The thing is that FAR will likely never be this cheap ever, ever again.
We may hover around 7 or 8c for the immediate short term but if you look to the medium term we could & should be worth billions. (assuming this is as big as many think).
It makes sense for WPL to buy us now or pay 3 times more down the track (assuming no one else buys us first)
It should be a no brainer for WPL to snap us up at a once in a life time bargain basement price and lock up Senegal or at least take control of Senegal.
They have already secured the deal (steal) of the century buying COP, so even if they pay overs for FAR their average price still makes it a very compelling deal for them.
They went as high as $11 billion for Oilsearch so money is no problem.
They have taken half a gamble, they really need to take the other half of the gamble now.
Buying COP & FAR puts them firmly in the drivers seat.
I don't know what they are waiting for.
My hope is a bid for FAR will flush out another bidder.
I expect a bid of around 14c
