Keep in mind I'm an inexperienced investor too and only just starting out. I've picked up GEM for the same reasons you are listing.
Based on some wiser opinions on here and ASF (aussie stock forums), I am seeing that GEM's strategy of growth through acquisition is slowing down as they now start to look at a more stable long-term strategy of improving their quality of service in existing centres.
Of course, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. However based on others' opinions and analysis, it seems like GEM is a safe and steady stock. as of the start of this Aus FY. That's great and all, but is also disappointing to those who have looked at it's last year's high growth performance, and expect the same. There's a good chance it just sticks around it's current price for a while.
Anyway, I'm very inexperienced, so please look at other sources to form your opinion.
