Of course ratings are the motive, and with ratings he assures his elitist position within the ABC, and generous salary. In effect it is not a bad tactic to get people to react to extreme views as it shows their mettle. In Pauline Hansen's case it only enhances here reputation within the section of the population that either agree with her views or act on them. At least she does verbalise what is on her mind and many will respect her for that even though they may not totally agree with her opinion, but that's life in general. On a side note our very own christian churches are all very silent on the islam issue, I can't but feel they are complicit in the rise of islam by not denouncing islam in their own churches. Maybe someone of a religious background can shed some light on this as they are becoming conspicuous by their absence in the debate!

Yes I agree, the Christian churches are ignominiously complicit in their absolute failure to criticise Islam for its failure to take effective action against the ever rising tide of those, within its ranks, who commit endless atrocities in its name. How can you justify, under any circumstances, a public beheading, immersed in a bile of immeasurable hate.
