I would agree with the last part regarding copper. I would say the same thing to her if she really has no position here. As for the company, I am afraid you remain positive because you are influenced by those positive news. Some pieces of information could be intentionally twisted and overstated. That is a common phenomenon in the area of research. You may find similar news every year, not only those famous ones on well known publications. Old theories are always replaced by new theories. Drug development needs the final confirmative clinical verification. Before that, nobody can say it is good or bad. People always screen thousands of compounds before finding out several promising candidates. Some could be proven safe and effective in animals. Then human tests are needed. Finally only singular compounds could be used as drugs.
Without the final confirmative results, nobody can claim a lead compound can be a good drug. That is why the company always highlights potential risks first and investors need remain neutral and sensitive. When talking about business potentials, it is irresponsible to discuss bright sides only. I choose to post here because I am disappointed to see people here always regard warnings as noise. Few people wanna blame the company no matter how bad their performance appeared to be. PCH appeared to be all of a sudden to us normal investors, but I believe the negotiation had been started long time before. That could explain why the share price dropped about fifty percent after Orphan Drug Designation was announced, that should be a strong signal for a quicker developing process. The management team should learn how to build up strong connection with FDA, not just blaming regulatory authorities. As a matter of fact, there are many more to be said. Deep holders may not care about the paper loss. They can do many things to offset the loss. Retail investors are always informed later, and more ridiculously stay here remain optimistic? I have spoken to Kempler directly and complained about their PR. I also provided his email address here. People who knows Kempler should know I am right. People who don't know Kempler can verify it easily as well. I do hope retail investors can also help the company to improve and move faster.
