There are few things I see here which might be the reason for the low downloads in SEA. Based on my experience living in Malaysia and Singapore, free wifi coverage are getting better these days. Also, people (even myself) are often cautious when it comes to this kind of apps, worried that they might get flooded with ADs popping up all the time. This is the general perception when something looks to good to be true especially in Asia.
I guess these are the areas that SYT need to resolve or perhaps the white labelling might be the solution. Other than that, i see huge potential for this concept especially for travellers (used to run around looking for free wifi outside changi airport each time i travel from malaysia to singapore)
