But SXY will have the same problem in that their production will also decline rapidly unless they spend a heap of CAPEX to maintain it.
SXY would likely cost BPT at least $500M which they do not have.
They could of course offer shares but that would increase BPT's total shares by approx 50%.
At some point you have to either spend CAPEX to replenish production or keep acquiring companies which will massively dilute the share base.
