It was the coalition that reduced the amount people could have and still get the pension to something like $850,000.
Labor opposed reducing it. Shorten said people with $1.2M were poor and needed a part pension. But then Shorten also said people who had $1.5M were extraordinarily rich and needed to be taxed into oblivion.
