TOKYO (AP)--The Japanese government has set up a taskforce in response to
reports that North Korea conducted its first-ever nuclear weapons test, a news
report said Monday.

Kyodo News agency said the government set up the task force and ministers and
officials were urgently called to discuss the situation.

Officials at the Prime Minister's Office were not immediately available to
confirm the report.
