Apart from Sentient and ORE, there are a number of other groups in Argentina that have laboratories and pilot plants capable of testing the recovery of Li from brines: the first group to ever study Li-rich brines in a laboratory and pilot plant was back in the 1980’s in the Institute of Mineral Beneficiation (INBEMI) of the National University of Salta, where Allurralde graduated in chemical engineering with a thesis in Li recovery.

Another group is, as you said, Sentient, the old ADY, that has a laboratory and pilot plant in Jujuy (2005?) and Ekeko (2010?), that vended Pocitos and Salinas Grandes to AGY, both of them created by Sorentino.

ORE never have a proper pilot plant or laboratory nor they did much field tests, and that is why is taking them two years to achieve nameplate capacity.

More recently, POSCO has made plenty of claims they can produce Li in some black box, claims that are still in the realm of flying elephants.

As you rightly ask, a lot of consultants are writing exaggerated so called NI43.101 most of them, if not all, non-credible, which explains why most of those project never got anywhere.
