Yet this is what some here are arguing for. That negative gearing is great and fair. Pushing the government to continue encouraging people to buy 2-3-4-10 investment homes irrespective of what the consequence to homeownership is.
Then they go around arguing that homeownership is a good retirement plan and that people should be forced to save to buy a home so they will be less dependent on social security etc...
Do any of these people realise that for every dwelling an investor owns or buys it's one less dwelling a potential homeowner has a chance of owning or buying. Do we need to wonder why the recent HILDA report says the proportion of homeownship is falling as the proportion of investors increase?
