I believe the oppies trade same as normal shares, in that they do have an auction in the closing.

I believe the reason there is not much trade of oppies in this 10min period is that the oppies are tightly held in strong, long hands, and therefore less liquid and less subject to manipulation.

The closing price of the oppies also has less impact on the technical charts and and perceived MarketCap of the company, and therefore they provide less ability to influence the mindset of the day traders who like to trade a pip or two up or down on the heads based on the perceived strength or weakness of the SP based on what the chart shows them.

All in my uninformed opinion of course
