Thanks for the lengthy reply, we9.
Regarding inexperienced accountants let loose at the mines, one wonders what the CEO and other executive management team members were doing? Perhaps the CEO was also of the same feather? Call me old-fashioned, I cut my career teeth on the inter-disciplinary model of management. But let's not be too harsh on accountants; I've had my share of frustration with non-accountants. It's amazing how disinterested some employees are with all matters finance; a two-syllable word that when uttered causes glazed eyes and barely stifled yawns.
Agreed: the more data the better to see you with my dear BDR, says the wolf. Given the data and helpful posters' elaboration so far, I'm beginning to consider ditching my plan to swap (sell-and-buy) BDR for BLK later in the year. I like BDR's growth potential more, but I prefer the political/economic predictability of Oz-based mines for long-term investment. Just another way of saying sovereign risks... Cheers, R.
