Australian education bureaucrats have need caught napping on computer language skills. I don't have any figures but my impression is Australia is way behind many Asian countries in this regard .. no idea about Europe. Its what happens when you intellectualise too much rather than just get on with the job.

Another general observation is how much better behaved home school kids are. When home school kids get together you don't have to crowd control them or tell them to quieten down... (you did get my sarcasm in my last post I trust).
