It IS true if you need to convert at 2c before selling. There are times when the leverage available on options encourages people to buy in so you can sell the options as options for a profit, but that will become less and less available as the option period dwindles. As I said, everyone is able to manage their own risk - but that becomes riskier as the expiry date draws nearer.
