8/8/2016 — Conference Special
AusIMM2016: NTL set for AusIMM NZ Mining Conference
Durable gold explorer New Talisman Gold Mines Ltd (NZX & ASX: NTL) is set to make a presentation at the 2016 AusIMM NZ Mining Conference in Wellington for the first time in several years.
The company is now going through the development procedures and financing for reviving gold mining at the historic Talisman mine at Karangahake and has also forged a joint venture to activate sustained exploration on the Rahu target, an along strike prospect seen as having the same geological setting as Karangahake.
The company has advanced dealings with a Chinese group to become involved in the Talisman project and has also secured a joint venture on Rahu with Australia’s largest domestically-owned gold miner Newcrest Mining Ltd (ASX: NCM).
NTL will be presenting in the last session of the conference at Te Papa in Wellington on Tuesday September 6. The conference opens with workshops and tours on Saturday September 3 and the conference proceedings begin the following day.
NZResources.com understands NTL’s presenter will be new director of the company Murray Stevens, who as a senior geologist has been involved with Talisman in recent years, originally as a consultant working for NTL’s predecessor Heritage Gold NZ, before the company named changed.
