I am thinking to buy some bank shares. Wander which way the share price is likely to go.
To the downside: current price is 25, still doubles the '09 low of 12. If they write off the investment in China, $12 is not un-realistic. My guess is that ANZ investment will be lucky to eventually only write off the investment without billions of liability. It could be worse than the NAB's investments in UK and USA.
To the upside: the dividend is attractive. If no collaps in the stock market, the sp should recover to its normal range in the 30s.
