During the year 2014/15, the Minerals Division recorded the following key positive
achievements:
 Licensing services were improved further to reduce waiting times between applying and granting of licences from 18 months to a mere 3 months.

 A public licensing portal was further improved to enable registered licence holders to interact more with the licensing system, with provisions for online application for licences


If application was made early june, Aug end could be the end of the 'mere three months', and outcomes decisions could be revealed electronically by accessing the database - not waiting for conventional reporting.
