Illiquidity seems to be the main mode at the moment, silly billy.
This works to help keep existing shareholders on board, to avoid getting a haircut if they sell, which obviously means a substantial opportunity cost.
Illiquidity also totally discourages any new investors, who can see they could well be locked in for longer than they want as there effectively isn't an operating market.
