Agree that there is more to this. About 18 months ago I moved the TV in my house and didn't bother to get the aerial reconnected (I have NBN) and just streamed everything instead. Initially I was annoyed that FTA at that time didn't have a lot of good live streaming (catch up was frankly crap) and so I just streamed paid services (Netflix, iTunes etc). So I went without FTA because I didn't watch a huge amount of it anyway.
I've only just found all the new streaming apps cos of the olympics and I am very impressed. Before now I wouldn't have dreamed of investing in FTA but they are actually adapting to the times. So I've kind of rediscovered it and am pleasantly surprised.
