Thanks for digging that one out Moosey . Yep that was the intent to apply for a licence for Paducah. Around that time things were looking up for Silex . I didn't hear that they followed through and applied though. The licencing process for Wilmington was very transparent with lots of public info , I think that if a licence for Paducah was being processed we would pick something of it up on the NRC site .
The other document is also very interesting (thanks for sharing) and recently updated . GLE were certainly a long way into the planning and negotiations as the paper suggests . I would agree with anyone that Paducah is not off the table and may still get up in some form if GLE is successful in finding capital for it . It certainly seems like the DOE were prepared to throw in a big chunk which is good news .
This is all backed up by the tone of SLX announcements around the time implying a Paducah decision was just around the corner .
Whatever fly has found it's way into the ointment, I like most here hope it is sorted soon , the suspense is killing me ,but I think we may have to wait past November for news . I'm not expecting much out of the upcoming SLX update . ( I dearly hope I'm wrong)
