M2 NAMED IN BRW FAST 100 FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR
M2 Telecommunications Group Limited (ASX: MTU) has continued to build upon its track
record of strong growth, having been named by Business Review Weekly (BRW) in its annual
¨Fast 100¨ companies list, released in this weeks edition of the magazine.
The BRW Fast 100 recognises the 100 fastest growing companies in Australia, in terms of
revenue growth, using three years averaged growth in revenues to determine which companies
qualify for the list.
2006 is the fourth consecutive year that M2 has been named in the Fast 100, having made its
debut at number 7 on the list in 2003. M2´s revenue growth in the previous year exceeded
40%, with the company achieving its largest ever annual growth in dollar terms, increasing
revenue by over $9M compared with 2005, to $33.5M.
As a four-time Fast 100 company, M2 is amongst a very select group, being one of only two
companies in this year’s list to have been named 4 times or more.
M2´s Managing Director and CEO Vaughan Bowen said of the Fast 100 recognition; ¨We are
very pleased to be recognised again for our strong and consistent growth. However, what we
remain most proud of is that in each of the last four years that we have been named in the Fast
100, we have also delivered new records in terms of our bottom line profitability. Strong growth
at both the top and bottom line is our real achievement¨.
M2 recently declared a fully franked final dividend of 2c per share, following its announcement
of a record net profit after tax of $2.18M, up 16% on the previous year.
M2´s shares closed yesterday at 37c, up more than 16% since the Company released its
