As someone who works in the renewable business, flow batteries are already behind the curve of lithium based batteries. Cost wise and cycle wise. Redflows new 10kwhr bank has 4000 cycles for the converter unit and costs $15k wholesale and suposedly was going to released a year ago... Still waiting for them to be available. In theory a good idea... In practice not really relevant.. Costs need to come down by 3 times at least.
