The ASX during reporting season is an extremely fickle place. If anything the QBE reaction today has been extremely predictable considering some of the other ridiculous reactions to reports I've seen.
A couple of examples from my portfolio
BHP posts 9 billion dollar loss - Up 3% today
MBE - Profits and revenues up 85-90% - Down 8.5%
IFL - Reports flat profit YOY exactly as per guidance - Down 8%
Funny stuff.
