Gearing is debt as a % of equity
Growing, and often distressed companies have high gearing levels. A lot of debt relative to assets
Net negative gearing sounds like they have debt, but cash exceeds debt....so net cash positive.
sometimes considered a lazy balance sheet, not putting capital/cash to work
