I think the point other posters were making is that surely this deal has been in progress for some time. And there was no mention of an equity raising during the CN approval, with a constant sell of minimal dilution.
Not saying the equity raising is a good or a bad move, but generally the words coming from the senior executives are never consistent with what the company does. So in the future you can discount what management days in the future.
