This announcement says nothing about efficacy. They've given Recce 327 to 60 mice, and had to cull 8 of them. Sure the mice that got 280mg/kg or less weren't killed, but they haven't addressed the fact that a 560mg/kg dose killed 7/10 rats, nor the fact that 560 mg killed more rats than 840 mg. Why were the mice killed "earlier than the planned criteria"? The CRO made the decision, they wouldn't kill animals for no reason, and if they did, that's an issue that needs to be addressed.
They also say: "Sufficiently wide window between efficacy and toxicity; reported here". There's a big difference between not killing the mouse and not being toxic, and they certainly have not demonstrated it's not toxic with this research.
It's another kind of weird announcement from this company.
