The results I reckon were not so good as claimed by the company. The so-called underlying e/s growth 0f 4.9% (page 13, Presentation) was actually negative, if taking off effects of OZ$ depreciation.
"Australian dollar averaged 0.7283 in FY16, compared with 0.8380 in FY15" it said (page 27, Presentation), indicating a 15.1% OZ$ fall. And 42.3% of the NPAT was from US$ (also page 27), so the OZ$ depreciation had contributed a positive (15.1%*42.3%=) 6.4% growth to the NPAT and e/s. Taking off this effect, the real "underlying e/s growth" was -1.5%!
