Does it really matter? Look what happened last time they hiked rates... Ok in the near term all the talk of doing so will be potentially negative for gold, but if it actually happen's will the equity markets handle it?

There's the argument that another 1/4 percent is so small it wouldn't make a difference but I think that with 0% being the new normal then you don't need to see a 2,3,4,5% move to create a shock.
