If you look at page 86 of their Prospectus you will see their original agreement with AirAsia X.

Brendankok, I will retreat from my earlier hyped up comments, and agree with you. I would expect an announcement similar in substance the that contained in the original agreement.

A 1 year term with 60 day cancellation, 5% commission to AirAsiaX, no commitment.

In fact, now you look at it it almost seems like this Flexiroam X product was spawned from the lack of success of their original partnership.

The original agreement was for a FREE 50mB data SIM to Japan bound travelers valid for 10 days.

So, this time around lets stick with the FREE SIM 500mB included (of course with the code AirAsiaX).

It won't thrill the market as much as I had hoped, but we will see a kick. I have used the product, and quite frankly it rocks!

I only consumed 1GB across a 10 day stint, (I've managed to acquire 5GB free since joining), but based on my experience, I would never stop paying the $10USD annual fee for such a cool product. I would also never replace the SIM unless I changed my home carrier's SIM.

The above is entirely speculation, but it would seem fairly logical, down to the "X". Only question is why the extended delay?
