What is your investment time frame?
If I believe the company has a future and has future value and am in for the long term surely any current shorting is just noise and won't impact the long term value of the investment.
I personally would be happier with a slower but average up trend at least until the company actually starts becoming profitable rather than a speculative rocket now...
Of course if you want to make a quick buck that is different and I can understand people wanting the price to explode.
