If your theory was true, then why would others be promoting the technology on their website (ASIC producer) or the fab manufacturer. If we were in early stages of concept, sure concepts can be manipulated or fraud can occur but to get this far and sign formal manufacturing contracts would be a bit far fetched.

Could the chip fail to produce as good a sound as indicated. That could be true.
