Is this the population growth zealots' equivalent of stoneage PNG's cargo cults? Just build an airstrip then the planes will come bringing wonderous riches. Where is the evidence that population growth and high density increases living standards and improves lifestyles? It seems to be a widely held view of politicians yet is contradicted by the evidence:
