A bit faster than that.
Canaccord were modelling 30 months to actual production.
ORE built their facility in pretty close to 2 years.
We'll see what benefit having Jiangsu plant building experience does for moving things along faster. The rest is ponds and pipes.
The actual dehydration process is 12-18months and the construction would likely begin with these as the first thing to be constructed.
There are still a good range of options available to Galaxy for quicker production.
FMC have a chemical plant nearby in Salta for hydroxide and they could negotiate a jv with them that enabled them to process at that facility initially, rather than build the chemical plant in Sal de Vida. Then build their own. Production of hydroxide via brine is actually a lot cheaper than via hard-rock. FMC's nearby plant produces Lithium Chloride which can be used to produce either carbonate or hydroxide. I saw figures recently that outlined $20m as the sort of cost of adding hydroxide production to a brine plant using this method.
