Old, sterile men in power screaming for population growth have no personal investment in a clean, smart, sustainable, healthy future - they have one foot in the grave already - they seek their permanent legacy by erecting repulsive physical monuments (attempting to revive their lost virility?)

I take your point about the housing industry - by all means retrain those workers, and while we're at it, retrain the farmers for mining jobs as well. ;)
