"Even defending at 3:30am... That's just sad."
yet another arbitrary posting rule by pat (and another ad hominem, sigh).
um, considered perhaps that I'm in a different time zone atm? not that it matters.
"So you consider there is no risk to this stock whatsoever?"
never said that
"1) sales risk - Redflow has zero record of successfully commercialising anything."
apart from the batteries its selling now after successfully outsourcing (albeit with delays)
"2) executive chairman risk"
Simon has helped Redflow get on the right footing with the BMS (easier installation) and residential storage (emerging market) as well as a lot of capital and collaboration with Base64. These initiatives are part of the turning point of the company and won't disappear if something were to happen health wise. Nor is he the only smart person at Base64. He has also brought some other experienced people on board that he has worked with previously, such as senior positions in the sales team.
"3) product risk"
the core ZBM has been in trials for years now, locally and overseas, and the testing of the fully outsourced battery production at flex has been going on for months. Microsoft has been trialing batteries and even Base64 has been running off a Redflow LSB. Prior to that the LSB was tested at the university of Queensland. They have done extensive long-term testing on the electrode surface and are now able to get live usage data using the BMS for further tuning of the charge/discharge cycles.
"4) investor risk"
"5) confirmation bias risk"
bias works both ways
Sure, there is always risk with any investment, but this company has taken many steps to de-risk itself, including not only solid engineering, but lengthy testing procedures (over many years now) as well as catching on early to the shift towards residential battery storage. Depending on who you ask, between a half to two percent of Australian homes now have storage, with 45% or more considering storage (and this is just Australia, the tip of the iceberg). Redflow has clearly received interest in ZCell and is positioned for solid sales growth, with installations starting now.
I will never say a company is risk free. But observing the Redflow story unfold I'm impressed with what I see and as I see the company make progress and/or take steps to de-risk itself the whole point of HC is that I can share my enthusiasm here.
Perhaps you should look inwards instead of outwards - its almost like you take offence to those posting here with views other than your own.
thanks for the VPC tip but from what I gather there is quite a bit of competition in that space.
