Robx7 was (well he still IS) a legend really; taught many on here a lot of stuff.
I still have a giggle at a video feed (skype... remember that!) I did with him when I was having trouble with the openers rule.
In his slow Queensland accent he offered to help me and we watched the open of some instrument or other and when it crossed for the open based on EVERY rule he had taught me I excitedly said:
"So i trade here right?"
and he said in that laconic voice .... "orrrrr I wouldn't open yet"
Me, "Why?"
Rx7 , " mmmmmm Just wait a minute"
After the chart moved against what would have been my open he said .... "that looks about right"
So I opened and it lead to one of the more profitable trades I did .... NO IDEA WHY OR HOW HE DID IT "

Helped destroy about 12 months of my disciplined learning ..... Maybe, "Rules are for pussies" LOLx3
Reality is it helped convince me that "real traders" rely on feel and instinct as much as rules .
