Ha! Love that. So your argument to any change in our society is not before the rest of the world is brought up to our level. I agree with you that these acts are barbarous, and like other attacks on minorities such as what is happening to Christians in Africa and the Middle East, should be challenged strongly. However, we shouldn't be neglectful of our own issues, as it wouldn't be reflective of our own societies propensity for change.
