Porsche was never in. I looked at entry level 2.0 L turbo diesels in 6 other Euro brands ... all well under the price of a new Landcruiser, probably matching a top line Nissan Patrol and possibly not too far off top of the line Hilux's and Ford Wildtrax's.

I am not adverse to late model 2nd hand with low kms ... did that with the current car and saved $20k for the 22,000 km it had on the clock.

I regularly put soil and rock samples and field equipment in the back and outboard, inflatable and sailing gear on occasional weekends ... I'm not too precious with cars, I just spend a lot of my life in them 8))
