- Amcor announces acquisition of Sonoco speciality containers (AMC)
- Says acquisition price of US$280 million represents a multiple of 8.0 times
LTM EBITDA
- Announces agreement to acquire the North American rigid plastics blow molding
operations of Sonoco Products Company
- Acquisition expected to add US$50 million of PBIT to Amcor's rigid plastics
segment at the end of the third full year of ownership
- Total sales of specialty containers in diversified products business will be
approximately US$750 million inclusive of the acquired business
- Acquisition remains subject to regulatory approvals in the United States
