I think they would be foolish to say nothing, even if results are underwhelming.
Lets, for argument's sake, say there are a few more technical issues. If they come out and explain things, with a clear path forward, they will be able to raise the additional capital they need at around 10 cents.
If, however, they say nothing between now and October I think you'll see the share price drop below 9 cents, which means even more dilution down the road (for a certain amount of $millions raised).
Of course, there's no reason yet to assume the worst, but keeping the market informed and anchoring expectations is critical to maintain a stable share price (and financing capacity going forward).
