Tony. There was an excellent example above about Bugatti vs Mazda. Although Mazda's are cheaper, more people can afford them (ie 'bulk'). The Bugatti - although a more expensive car, was rarely sold for a profit to Volkswagon (low volume and sold for a loss). Pretty sure every single Mazda on the road returned a profit over costs.
