A simple summary from a mate of mine who works in the industry.
Wireline logging is performed both to tell you what you have found, and also to help you make decisions on the best way to retrieve that. I have heard some people suggest that wireline logging is indicative of a company that has no idea what it has found, and that GDN has therefore just been spouting BS. This is totally untrue. Wireline logging tells you where your porous layers are, where your traps are, and how to use them. It is a common and sensible thing to do in a well that you already have gas in, not just to determine where to go next when you have a dry or near dry well.
It is also a process that takes a few days, because not all of the sensors can work together. The package has to make a few passes up and down the hole. So I wouldn't be expecting an announcement tomorrow.
