Hi Nambo. Graphite is not a commodity in the same way gold or copper are. No spot market either for example. The Chinese were looking into a spot market creation some two years ago from memory. Graphite can only be sold once it is 'qualified' for purchase by a 'specific' customer looking for very exact 'specifications'.
So SYR are an excellent example. They basically said 'stuff the vanadium credits, we're just a graphite mine'. I can't say this approach hurt SYR in any way - certainly two rounds of funding since then confirm that?
Sometimes i just think it is not very smart to 'bite off more than you can chew'. Hydrogen AND graphite is certainly a mouthful. Why not manage these risks of trying to tackle two very different products with two very seperate markets by addressing them one at a time? The main game for HZR is the hydrogen. Simply because i think the hydrogen is far easier to sell than the graphite. It would be safer to look at margins from graphite as 'creme' that fattens the bottom line imo.
