P&G's plan to reinvigorate the Olay brand and improve flagging sales suggests they will probably spend a few quid on promoting the wand in due course.

Personally, I would have come out with the wand center stage on day one. Any reason not to remains completely obscure to me.

If I had obtained the tech that let me manufacture and sell an applicator that made my product 3 times as good I would be shouting it from the rooftops, not slowly introducing it later on. For one thing, introducing it as a second stage 'improvement' detracts from just how awesome it is to achieve such a change.
